Ballots have been emailed to members email on file with the IAFC/EDIAFC or request a ballot by mail (voting deadline is April 10th)
Members of the EDIAFC in good standing will vote on proposed amendments to the Constitution & ByLaws.
The purpose of this ballot is to vote on amendments to the EDIAFC Constitution & By-laws (C&BL). NOTE: the proposed amendments were submitted, reviewed, and approved by the International Associations of Fire Chiefs By-Law Committee during the 2023 IAFC’s Annual Conference.
The date of the current C&BL is April 2018. Efforts were made to update to remove excessive wording and more closely mimic the standard practices of the EDIAFC. A copy of the current C&BL and a marked up copy showing the proposed amendments are attached to this email and can be found on our website at ediafc.com.
Per C&BL ballots are required to be distributed 60 days in advance (March 11th) of the annual conference. Furthermore, ballots are to be completed and returned 30 days prior (April 12). This will allow time to assemble the ballots and report the results to members of the executive board. Mail in ballots are available upon request.
